Eve Trilogy Rant

Usually I share great reads with you, but I suppose now is a good time to share a boring read.

I was taking this trip and wanted to get a book to tie me over for the ride over.  I heard about how great Eve was, so I got it and then, while riding down the highway, I opened up the Eve book by Anna Carey and read the first chapter and was totally in love with it!  But then, after that, the book went way down hill and I practically skipped to the very end to see how it ended.

THINGS I DO NOT LOVE ABOUT THIS BOOK: (note: spoilers are highlighted in purple)

* It skips way too many important things
* It does not go into enough detail
* The girl on the cover looks weird (Yeah, I know... I am saying I don't like the cover...)
* It has three books in the entire Eve series, so the end of the first book will leave you like "what?!"... if you even get that far.
* It is all way too quick!
* (spoiler) Then again... it doesn't go fast enough.  You know that hide-out Eve has to find?  Well, just how long does it take for her to get there?  Yep.  The whole book.
* (spoiler)  When Eve get's attacked by a bear, what does she do?  Yeah, she's scared.  But it doesn't go into enough detail and it happens way too quick.  Then Caleb comes and saves her?  Like, wow.
* (spoiler)  OMG, she left her friend Pip!  Ugh, now Pip is going to suffer.  How could Eve do that?

THINGS I LOVE ABOUT THIS BOOK:

* Uh, chapter one.

You see how much I totally love this book (says sarcastically).  I am sorry I had to rant about Eve but seriously, it just was not my cup of tea.  If you want to check out Eve and read it, then go for it!  But beware:  It may not be your cup of tea either.

I am going to sum up Eve real quick, just to tell ya what it's about.

Girls and boys were separated after this sickness occurred.  Eve, a teenage girl, was about to graduate with her bud's from this girl school.  But before she graduates, she learns the truth about why she has been attending the girl school... and the truth just might set her free... sort of.  As she travels, she will have to choose between two things:  life and love.

2014 Covergirl Winner

Hellooo!

Yes, today is the day, my friends!  The announcement of our 2014 Covergirl!

I watched all the videos, and yes, I enjoyed all of them.  But I am not the judge of this contest.  I got some help from some great friends, and they all came to their top choices.  Thank you Mehkynnzi, Lexi, and Prim.
Please read to learn more about the judges.  Don't try to take a peek at who the winner is... just take the time to look over everything.

Meet the Judges:
Mehkynnzi was in the running to be a top Covergirl at SST.  She is your average girl who just loves to explore.
Lexi is a cheerleader and model who loves SST.  She models for the book Never Stop Cheering by Hailey D., The S.O.S. by Maddie, and many other companies.  She just recently got a contract with a modeling agency, so she knows what she is looking for in a Covergirl.
Prim is also a model who loves SST.  She also models for the book Never Stop Cheering by Hailey D.  Prim recently went through a hard time that changed her life, so she knows what it takes to work hard and to follow your dreams.

As you can see, the scores are very close together.  But in the end, only one came to the top...

Catching Fire Movie

On March 7 my most favorite movie came out - Catching Fire!  So, I picked up a copy of it of course and when I got home, I fixed up some popcorn and poured a glass of Dr. P and watched Catching Fire.

The Hunger Games trilogy is about a teenage girl, Katniss Everdeen, who volunteers for her sister Prim in The Hunger Games.  It would take me forever to explain The Hunger Games to you.... but I'll try to sum it up a bit.  It is where the government takes two children between the ages of 12 to 18 to fight against other children for food.  I think that is the best way I can explain it for now.  But if you want to learn more, just look up "The Hunger Games" and you will find a ton of stuff on it.

Mostly A's:  You'd be a cheetah!  Since your fierce and adventurous, your able to take on the world - just like a cheetah!  Your perfect home would be wherever there is a source of food and a place to roam! Mostly B's:  Splash, splash, splash!  Although you'd make a great mermaid (sadly that is not possible), a dolphin is a close second!  You love vibrant colors that get you moving and get your mind working.  And when there is a chance for some amazing thrill-seeking, you never say no.  As a dolphin, you are calm and try to make the right decisions, which is a very important life characteristic.  Keep up the awesome work!

Mostly C's:  A parrot.  Yes, I said it.  A parrot!  You are chatty and LOVE different colors.  You are so fashionable and creative, and you definitely make fashion statements!  You would prefer to live somewhere with tons of colors and different animals.  After all, you'll need someone to talk to!  Although you can live it up and talk someone's ear off, it is best if you keep clam during some hard times and work things out with your buds.  But it is great your not shy, my friend!  So now, go set a trend!
