Summer Style Quizzes
I don't have time to create quizzes right now! Ack! But for now, please enjoy the style quizzes I found online @ Girlslife.com! Have fun, peeps!
What's Your Perfect Summer Nail Polish? (mine was aqua, turquoise, and those kinds of colors)
What's the Best Perfume for Your Personality? (I'm hardworking, loyal, and a true friend. Flex! I need scents like Twirl by Kate Spade and all those floral scented perfumes.)
Which Lip Smacker Sweetie Are You? (My flavor is peppermint! Also, I never forget that fun is the focus.)
That'll be all. Hopefully, we'll have a cool quiz created by SST next time!

Changes
Hi to all,
I am positive many of you have heard about all the new changes coming to SST. Some of these changes are huge, so be ready! I guess I'll go ahead and start.
First of all, I'd like to say that the Contests, Covergirl, and Reviews pages are coming down. The Q&A page will be updated and changed, plus we will add a Contact page. The Covergirl page will no longer be needed, and your about to find out why. As for the Contests and Reviews page, I find them taking up my time. Like whenever I post a review, sometimes I will forget to put it on Reviews page and people are like "Aren't you going to put it on there?"
Second, I am going to do fewer blog posts each month. Probably around five per month.
Contests.... giveaways.... how much fun.... am I right? I don't want to say good-bye to those sweet things, so I won't. However, we won't have as many giveaways.
Quizzes! Oh, I sure do love my quizzes! SST will TRY to have monthly quizzes, so just bare with us.
Am I still going to do random blog posts? Will I change my blog into a fashion blog with some photography? Will I make it a baking and recipe blog (I will go ahead and tell you definitely not)? That's the thing. I would like to do less random blog postings, and make them more put-together. I love reading, so more book reviews would be awesome. I also enjoy mixing and matching outfits, so I would want to do that. Ooh, and my video blog.... I have been neglecting it, poor thing. I am always trying to make some random silly video, when really, I should be doing an enjoyable video that makes sense.
My vlogging will continue, and I might do around one video blog every two months.
There will no longer be anymore Covergirl contests because....
I am going to have a casting call for three writers to join SST. This will take place super-shortly.
Now for the biggest change of all: Come time in July or August, I will no longer blog that much (or at all). I am going to be super busy this year for various reasons. Like... going to public school (you know how much work that is, right?) and having after-school clubs... and there are other reasons. But no worries... SST's new writers will be doing weekly posts of awesomeness!
If there is ever a time when I do need to stop blogging, then I will hand over my blog to someone I trust, or something like that.
Oh, right, June is SUPER BUSY for me this month. I'm talking two camps, creative writing classes, VBS, b-day parties, and all that good stuff.
There are so many reasons for all these changes! Wow! Like I have been working on books, and I really need to get them finished (like Teens and Entrepreneurship), so that is only one of the reasons because of some of this.
All these changes will take place soon. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, suggestions.... ANYTHING, please let us know via contact form. Leave your thoughts in comments. Best wishes, Maddie.

The One by Kiera Cass
Remember that post about The Selection series I did a while back? Well, at that time, I had still yet to read The Elite and The One, the other two books in the trilogy. And now, I can say I read them! I saw The Elite at my local library, and read it twice because I was so in love with it. When The One came out, I ordered it from Amazon and got it six days later. I have only read The One once so far, but I most certainly plan to read it again in the near future.
Should I get to the review, now? Okay, that's what I thought.
Please go HERE to read The Selection review before reading this review
Here is an overview: In The One, you finally find out which of the Elite (the bottom four) Maxon chooses, and which guy America chooses. You also get in on what the rebels (these people that attack the palace) are up to, and you learn so many secrets about them and other people. Like... Celeste (an Elite), Anne (one of America's maids), and Aspen. There are also a few romantic scenes, which gives the book some spice, and a huge shock towards the end of the book.
To describe this book in a few words, I would have to say epic, romantic, and shocking. This book will leave some of you crying, some of you mad, and some of you swept off your feet. It left me sad, mad, despressed, happy, and all sorts of things. But I did not cry once during this book. I only got chill bumps. I am kind of dry when it comes to books.
I give it ten+ stars, totally, although it is my least favorite book in The Selection series. I think it was kind of boring in some parts, and I just couldn't wait for it to be over with, but for good reasons. I couldn't wait to find out if Maxon did, in fact, choose America, our main girl in the series. Although, I cannot tell you who America chooses. Maxon or Aspen. Maxon or Aspen. Maxon or Aspen.
The king in this story is very powerful, and he likes to get what he wants. If you read The Selection, you think the king seems like any king; meaningful, has power, and knows how to fight. But in The One, you'll find out his true self. It's... it's kind of creepy.
Oh, the queen. I absolutely adore her. She is so kind, strong, powerful, beautiful, and so many other things. I feel really bad for her about only having one child, Maxon. In The One, she really looks forward to having a daughter-in-law, and I can see why.
America's dad. Oh. My. Gosh. You will find out a huge secret about him in this book.
America's brother, Kota, reveals a secret that he has known for quite some time.
Anne reveals a secret to America.
Lucy (another one of America's maids) has been keeping a secret. What could that be? ;)
You learn a lot more about the Northern rebels, and what they have been up to after all the attacks. You also find out about a few secret rebels that America knows personally.
The Southern rebels are the same always... brutal, ruthless, and wanting to destroy everything in sight... including the royal family. But this time, they are fiercer than ever, and you'll be shocked at the timing of their attack.
America learns so much in this book, and I am pleased to say how proud I am of her. She has really grown into a young woman, and is no longer some rude and stubborn girl. She learns some valuable lessons, and makes great choices in this book, however...
I am not pleased that she and Maxon have this thing, where, America wants him to tell her he loves her first, before she can tell him the same. So it's like a battle between Maxon and America... who will say 'I love you' first? Read the book to find out!
Ah, Maxon! I love him! He is sort of like my book character crush, ya know? Any girl who reads The Selection series will fall in love with him. Although, not so sure if anyone can fall in love with Aspen, because he just seems... so... so... I have no idea! There are no words to describe him, which is a bad thing.
Anywho, that's all for my review. I tried creating a video for this instead of writing it all out, but that didn't work out because YouTube didn't want to upload my video. But hopefully YouTube will work next time.

J Dollz: A Review
All pictures photographed by me!
Hey guys! Amanda here. Today I am going to be writing about these Japanese dolls: J Dollz.I discovered these darling little things on a trip to Tuesday Morning (that's a store name). Tueasday Morning is kind of like GoodWill, where you never know if you'll find a treasure or not.
I saw this ballerina doll and fell in love with her. I bought her and named her "Genevieve Antoinette."
These dolls are very dainty and so beautiful. They have joints in their wrists, elbows, shoulder, knees, and ankles, which makes them perfect for practicing portrait photography!
Look at how dainty the details are on her tutu . . .
And the top! Wow, talk about a statement! I want this in my size!
Here she is, dancing at the foot of a tree, just having the time of her life!
Phew, what a workout! Genevieve rests for a little bit . . .
Then she adventures back out into the wide world!
Being shy (What dainty little feet!).
Soon she's right back at it, pirouetting and whirling about!
Then she rests for a couple minutes.Such a tiny, dainty little creature!
A couple months later, I visited Tuesday Morning and found another J Doll! Her first name was Evangeline, but I can't remember what her last name was . . . let's call her Evangeline Lorraine.
She is a very delicate doll, with a pink gingham dress and lots of lace work.
Evangeline enjoys just sitting out in the sun and looking pretty.
Here is a close-up of her pretty dress . . . once again, I need this in my size!
Such gorgeous eyes!
Looking pretty as a petunia . . .
Posing some more . . .
She loves giving me that faraway stare . . .
Ooh, it's windy! Hold onto your hat, Evangeline!
Evangeline may look very elegant and girly, but she loves walking around barefoot.
This is my most favorite picture of her!
Buh-bye, and have a fantastic week!

The Sister Tag
After heading over to South Kakalaki Girl, I read a post called The Sister Tag. In the post, SKG writers Amanda (who is also our Covergirl!) and her sister, Rachel, answered fun questions to see how much they are alike (and not alike). Since I have a sister, I decided to try doing a 'sister tag' as well!
(Some of the questions I got from Amanda and Rachel:)
1. If you could describe each other in one word, what would that word be?
Maddie: Unique personalities.
G: Funny.
2. What is one thing that annoys you about one another?
Maddie: My sister is super-duper outgoing.
G: Maddie has way better handwriting than me.
3. What is your current favorite song?
Maddie: I have so many. Three current favorites are: Classic by MKTO, Payphone by Maroon 5, and Love is An Open Door by Kristen Bell and Santino Fontana.
G: Wagon Wheel by Darius Rucker.
4. What is your favorite TV show?
Maddie: I have so many! My list includes 19 Kids & Counting, Duck Dynasty, The Voice, Adventure Time, Kim of Queens, and all those shows on Animal Planet, HGTV, and Food Network.
G: Boomerang and Nickelodeon shows.
5. What is your favorite movie?
Maddie: You should know by now that it is Catching Fire (although Divergent, Brave, Tangled, and Frozen are right behind.)
G: Frozen.
6. Do you and your sister think alike?
Maddie: Um.... sometimes. We seem to have a mind of our own.
G: Yes. (Maddie says "What....?")
7. Describe your sister in three words.
Maddie: Quirky, funny, and loud
G: Pretty, talented, and fun
8. What is your favorite subject in school?
Maddie: English for the most part, but I also like all the others.
G: Reading.
9. Pants or dresses?
Maddie: I'm almost always doing something, so pants. I usually only wear dresses to church.
G: Pants, but I do wear dresses a lot.
10. Do you ever argue?
Maddie: On rare occasions.
G: We don't really argue, we mostly disagree.
11. What do you want to be when you grow up?
Maddie: I made a list. Either a veterinarian, actress, singer, or the other possible millions things. (Sorry, can't decide! But I've got time, right?)
G: Fashion designer.
12. Fave critter?
Maddie: Panda's are so cute!
G: Dolphin.
Hope you enjoyed this and got to learn a little more about us!

May Quiz
#WhatKindofFriendAreYou #FriendshipQuiz #MayQuiz
1. You have two of the greatest friends on earth, and you are all really close.... or so you thought. Elisa, one of your friends, is going to Panama City for vacation this Summer. Unfortunately, she decides to take Hannah, your other BFF, with her instead of you. What do you do?
A: Your really happy for them, and tell them to takes lots of pics!
B: You are jealous, but you don't say anything and act like everything is okay, when in truth, it isn't.
C: Ugh! You are SO mad at Elisa. You demand why she decided to take Hannah with her instead of you.
D: My friends would never do that!
2. Hanging with bestie Kaitlyn is so much fun! It's too bad Kaitlyn lives one hour away though. But lucky for you, she is coming over for the weekend and you have already decided what you two were going to do: Go to a movie, do some shopping, get a manicure.... but Kaitlyn tells you she wants to go swimming instead. After all, it is such a nice and warm day outside. You:
A: Totally agree with her.
B: Don't agree, but just go with what she says. She is the guest, after all.
C: Tell her that you really want to go see a movie and go shopping and get a manicure. You keep saying this until she agrees with you.
D: Decide to do the things each of you want, because you have time.
3. The annual school dance is coming up, and you already made plans to go with your best friend, Emma.
I mean, seriously, it's not like a guy will just come up and ask you to go to the dance with him, right? You and your pal are totally pumped up about the dance, and you already went shopping for a dress and have already made arrangements to meet up at your house before going to the dance.... but then, out of the blue, a guy asks you to go with him to the dance. OMG.... what do you do?

OMG.... what do you do?
A: You love your friend, and wouldn't trade her in for the entire world. You say no to the guy. Go with Emma.
B: It hurts you to say this, but you say no to the guy. You play it cool with your bestie, but the whole time at the dance, your bothered with your decision.
C: Say a short and sweet sorry to Emma, and tell her you just seriously want to go with the guy. No hard feelings, right?
D: Say yes to the guy, because it's your choice, not Emma's. You explain everything to Emma, then try to get her a date to the dance.
Mostly A's: Oh, wow, darling! When it comes to friendship, you seem to be totally happy with everything (or nearly everything). Good for you! Always remember, though, if something ever comes up to where you don't agree with your friend, be sure to follow your heart. You don't always have to agree!
Mostly B's: Ouch, hon. It totally pains you to say the things you say, but you do it anyway.... WHY? Don't be scared to speak out and and let people know what you think (don't go too over-the-top, though).
If you trust in yourself, everything should work out just fine. Good job on helping stop any friendship arguments, though. And remember: True friends will understand you.
Mostly C's: Ah!!! Um, please, I'm begging you.... calm down, girl! PLEASE. I get all of your opinions matter, and it's great you speak your mind, but know that sometimes maybe you speak your mind just a little too much, am I right? Instead of just shooting out the truth, take the time to explain things nicely and calmly, and tell your friend that that is just what you think, and you disagree with her. Maybe you could do some things YOU and YOUR FRIEND like to do instead of the things only you like to do.... hum?
Mostly D's: Way to go!! Your so awesome, and you are giving 100%, so mmm-hmmm, yep! You got this friendship thing figured out! All I can say is keep up whatever you are doing.
Mixed Answers: Read over all of the results to find where you stand :)
