Q: What is Make-a-Difference Friday?
A: Make-a-Difference Friday is where you step in and make a difference in your community! So I know that this week is a school week for most of you, but even so, do SOMETHING to make a difference. Like maybe give your friend a little gift or ask your class if they'd be interested in starting a gardening club or maybe a community service club. And if you can't do anything on Friday because your so busy, then do something on Saturday. You thought you were going to get out of helping out. Sorry, but nope. Besides, you should want to help out anyways.
Q: What can I do to make a difference?
A: Here is a list of things you could do:
* Volunteer at a local animal shelter
* Give someone a gift
* Create a community garden
* Plant a tree in your local community garden if you already have one
* Clean up trash and litter
* Donate money to a charity
* Come up with your own idea!
Q: So is this whole thing even a real holiday or event???
A: First of all, this NOT a holiday. But YES. This is a totally-true event that you should really look forward to participating. I don't care if you have gymnastics practice or if you have to audition for the school musical, you can still participate in this event. And like I said, if you can't do it Friday, then you can always do it on the weekend or so. And who says this is the only day you can help out? You can help out through the entire year!
And thank-you soooo much for hearing (or, um, reading!) how important this is.... for you, your community, and your world!

ReplyDeleteI know.... I cannot wait until Friday! Looks like we have two fun things going on this week! Halloween and Make-a-Difference Friday! I believe I will be having a contest next month.... stay in touch!
